Privacy Policy

The short version

Project PULSE is a student-led community initiative. This website collects only what you choose to send us through a form. We do not sell personal information, we do not run advertising, and we do not use tracking cookies.

What we collect

• Contact form: your name, email address, optional organization, and your message.
• Training and volunteer sign-ups: your name, email address, and optional organization, so we can follow up.
• Basic analytics (only if enabled): if we turn on website analytics, we use a privacy-friendly, cookieless provider that records aggregate page views and referrers. It does not identify you and does not track you across other sites.

We do not collect payment information on this site. Donations are handled by HCB (Hack Club) on their own platform, under their privacy practices.

How we use it

• To reply to your message or question.
• To email you about CPR and AED training sessions or volunteer opportunities, if you asked us to. You can ask to be removed at any time.
• To understand, in aggregate, which pages people find useful.

Who can see it

Your submissions are read by Project PULSE student organizers and adult advisors. We use service providers to make the site work, and they only process data on our behalf:

• Website hosting (for example Vercel).
• A form or email provider to deliver your message to us, once one is connected.
• An analytics provider, if analytics is enabled.

We will share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.

How long we keep it

We keep form submissions only as long as needed to act on them and for a reasonable period afterward for our records, then delete them. Email list sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe or the program ends.

Your choices

• Ask us what we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or delete it.
• Unsubscribe from any email list.

Young people

Project PULSE is run by students, and students take part in our events. This site is not designed to collect personal information from children, and we ask that anyone under 13 have a parent or guardian contact us on their behalf.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
